Time To Get Excited

The quality of fly fishing films has exploded over the last few years, and the incorporation of drones has made these films almost impossibly beautiful. I tend to favor the expeditionary-type films that portray locales that I’ll likely never fish, but it is always cool to see a place I know depicted in a way I’ve never seen it. Below, you’ll find the teaser video for the 2017 Fly Fishing Film Tour, and the International Fly Fishing Film Tour showcases trailers for each film. Find a venue near you, and put it on the calendar. You won’t be disappointed.

Piscatorial Film Noir

If you like sitting in a dark room with a bunch of other dudes half as much as I do, you’re gonna wanna make sure to be at Highlands Brewing Company this Saturday, April 7th,for the Asheville stop of the Fly Fishing Film Tour. The fish movies are really just a bonus in my book. This year  is gonna be, as the kids say, off the hizzie. How could it not be? I mean SCOF and The Fiberglass Manifesto have joined Hunter Banks to bring the fishy folks of Western North Carolina a fly fishing extravaganza complete with live music, food served out of a truck, beer, a ton of giveaways, a hillbilly mini-casting course, and oh yeah did I mention beer? So get your ticket for ten before the show at Hunter Banks or pay 15 at the door. Either way you’d have to go to Tijuana to get this much fun for those prices.
