The details are tough and go right now, and wifey still needs to be tranquilized, but meet the newest arrow in my boat quiver. With a 40/30 Yamaha jet, oar locks, poling platform, and a Yeti rowers seat she’s gonna look sporty to say the least. Now I just gotta figure out how to put in a pop up camper on that thing, because I may be living in it for a while. I would like to thank John St. John over at Hog for finally coming up with a swiss army boat for all of us that fish a lot of different stuff, and need a boat that can keep up.
Tie-One-On-A-Thon: We are in the homestretch with the event coming up this Sunday. We will have tickets at the door but if you’re in Hunter Banks between now and then go ahead and grab one there…just ten bucks for a great cause. We’ve got more tiers this year, and a whole lot more stuff to give away. Thanks to our sponsors, this year is going to be swag-tastic. So come on down to Steve’s studio this Sunday, and hang with some cool folks….you will probably walk away some free stuff to boot.
Enough Free Stuff To Choke A Donkey
The Store Has Been Renovated…And Now Looks Like “The Limited” At The Mall: Through a lot of hard work, and a lot of Guatemalan dry wall crews, we have managed to completely change the look and functionality of our store, so you might want to give it a look. If you’re over there, check out the new Trucker Hats Steve came up with…sicky sicky gnar gnar (thanks James…best saying ever). Buy them while they last.
A Reward For Reading All The Way To The Bottom Of This Post: Almost four straight minutes of nut shots…
What started last year as nothing more than just a glimmer in our eye has snowballed into a charity event to be reckoned with. That might be a scocshe over dramatic. This years Tie-One-On-AThon will be one helluva a good time anyway you phrase it though. We’ve amassed a group of tiers that include guides, shop owners, commercial tiers, and other generally unsavory characters that will put their nose to the vise for 8 hours and see how many flies can be produced to help our veterans. Every hour door prizes from our sponsors will be given away, and at noon we’ll roll in the hootch (fly production will take a nose dive). So go ahead and mark Sunday, February 26th on your calendars, and come on out to see some of the best tiers in the region, get some free stuff, and maybe even catch a day buzz…all in the name of wounded veterans…can you say “win win”? Get your tickets at Hunter Banks, or at the door the day of the event. See you there…I’ll be the coy one staring at you from the other side of the vice.
Kent and louis, our co-conspiring contributors over at Gink and Gasoline, made it up last week for a few days of fishing and general debauchery. Laughs were had, hooks were removed from both fish and human, and we all hugged a lot at the end…kind of like your family reunions, I’m sure. Look for a bunch of content from this trip coming your way over at the boys’ blog. Until then I made Steve take some pics as usual. Happy Monday.
